Obituary

Joshua Austin Shupack, of Alexandria, Virginia, beloved child of God, was born on August 16, 1982 and passed on May 30, 2019.

Josh was the much loved by his parents Martin and Diana, his twin brother Justin, and his sister Sarah, his extended family and good friends. Josh loved and enriched his family and friends in countless ways. Josh loved God and was a member of New Hope Fellowship Church in Alexandria, Virginia.

Josh was born in Urbana, Illinois, and moved with his family to Alexandria, Virginia in 1995. He attended Edison High School, where he played football and basketball. He worked for many years at Fort Belvoir Community Hospital. During his 36 years of life, he was able to share his faith with and encourage many people. He was a Chicago Bears fan and enjoyed on-line football video game competition.

Josh is survived by his parents, Diana and Martin, his brother Justin and his sister Sarah. He is also survived by his grandmother Barbara Smalter, aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandfather John Smalter and his grandparents Martin and Iris Shupack. He is also survived by his friends Jessica, Aaron and others. His friends Allen and Rich pre-deceased him.
